Nassau County Police arrested Gerard Conway around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 30, for allegedly burglarizing four Westbury businesses on Sunday, Dec. 29, police said.

According to detectives, Conway, of Westbury, allegedly used a flower pot to break the front door’s glass at the Pizza Hut in Westbury at 61 Old Country Road around 2:30 a.m., Sunday.

He then entered and removed a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash, Nassau County Police said.

A short time later, police say Conway walked across the street, and broke into three businesses at the Mall at the Source and removed cash registers from the following businesses:

  • The Cheesecake Factory
  • Everything Christmas
  • Toy Terrace Holiday Express

All the registers taken contained cash, police added.

Conway has been charged with burglary. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
